PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Memorial Day noticeAs we enter Memorial Day weekend, we encourage all members of the SSCS community to take a moment to reflect on the many freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices made by those who served our country to provide opportunities that we can too easily take for granted. Memorial Day also reminds us of the importance of gratitude, service, and caring for one another as a community.

At the same time, we are now entering the final stretch of the school year and have officially reached the midway point of the fourth quarter. While this time of year brings many exciting activities, events, and celebrations, it is also an important academic period as students prepare for final exams and Regents assessments. We encourage families to help students remain focused, attend school consistently, complete assignments, and maintain strong academic routines.

With busy schedules and increased demands, it is also important to keep an eye on your child(ren)’s overall wellbeing. Adequate sleep, healthy routines, balance, and open communication can make a significant difference during this time of year. As always, please do not hesitate to communicate with your child’s teachers, counselors, or school staff if additional support is needed. Together, we can help all students finish the school year strong.
