PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
As we arrive at the final days of another successful school year, I would like to thank our students, families, faculty, staff, Board of Education, and community members for their partnership, support, and commitment to Sharon Springs Central School.
While summer is quickly approaching, there is still important work to be done. We encourage all students to remain “locked in” and focused through the final days of the school year. Students in grades 7–12 are expected to attend through June 16th, the final day of exams, and all students are expected to attend the morning of June 26th for our end-of-year activities and 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony. Students in grades K–6 should continue attending school through the final day of classes.
As a reminder, district-issued iPads will be collected at the end of the school year. Please help ensure that devices, chargers, and cases are returned in good condition and that students keep track of all materials during these final days.
This time of year also brings awards ceremonies, graduations, and celebrations. We encourage our students to take pride in their own accomplishments while also celebrating the successes of others. Whether receiving an award, earning a diploma, completing a challenging course, improving attendance, or simply growing as a person, every student’s journey deserves recognition. As always, we encourage our Spartans to focus on being the very best version of themselves.
As we close the chapter on the 2025–2026 school year, we wish all of our students and families a wonderful, healthy, safe, and restful summer. We hope you find time to relax, spend time with loved ones, explore new interests, and create lasting memories.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of educating and supporting your children. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another great year at Sharon Springs Central School.

K-5 TALENT SHOW INFORMATION
We are excited to announce the K-5 Talent Show, taking place on the morning of Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.
If a child wants to perform, please note that they must attend at least one or two of our after-school practice sessions. Ms. Davenport will work with individual parents/students to schedule a small number of acts on any particular day in order to give each one the necessary attention and also to cut down on wait time. Students will need a note of permission, indicating who will be providing transportation home as there is no late bus run.
The last rehearsal is planned for Tuesday, June 23 during school hours with teacher permission. Hopefully, this whole experience will be both a challenge and a delight for the children!

2026 CLARION YEARBOOKS ARE IN!
If you would like to purchase one of the 2026 Clarion Yearbooks, please send a message to Mrs. Field at jfield@sharonsprings.org. The cost is $45. Checks can be made out to SSCS Clarion. Get them before we sell out!
LIMITED SCHOOL PLAYGROUND ACCESS
As the weather is getting warmer, a reminder to families and community members that public access to the school’s playground is limited to after the school day and after our After School Program, which runs until 4:45 pm. From now until May 21st, community members can access the playground Monday-Friday after 4:45 pm and anytime during the weekend. After May 21st, on days that school is in session, public playground access is not allowed from 8:00 am-3:00 pm.
SSCS CLAY TARGET TEAM NEWS
If you know a young male or female who would be interested in joining our team for next fall, we will be holding signups in August! Keep a look out on Facebook or in the Mountain Eagle! Message us for more details or with any questions.

- Mondays & Thursdays: 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesdays,Wednesdays & Fridays: 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
- Saturdays: 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
TOWN POOL OPENING SCHEDULE
The Sharon Town Pool, located on Pavillion Avenue, will open on:
- Saturday, June 20th & Sunday, June 21st from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm
- On Monday, June 22, the pool will open at 3:00 pm
- Regular pool hours will resume to 1:00 pm-5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 23
WEEKLY BULLETIN SUBMISSIONS
This is the final weekly bulletin for the school year. Have a great summer! SSCS will continue to produce this document each week as a service to the SSCS community. Similar to last year, classified ads, such as advertisements for the sale of items, help wanted ads, etc., will no longer be accepted. Advertisements will only be accepted if it relates to a potential educational benefit for our students or it has the potential to benefit the Sharon Springs community. SSCS reserves the right to edit any submission. For consideration, please email by 3 p.m. on Tuesdays to weeklybulletin@sharonsprings.org.
