The Harold Hall Athletic Legacy Award

The Harold Hall Athletic Legacy Award recognizes senior student-athletes (with a $100 cash prize) who have gone above and beyond to demonstrate exceptional dedication by participating in all three sports seasons as a high school athlete. Like Harold, these students have shown commitment, school pride, support for others, and a willingness to be part of something bigger than themselves. They have chosen to spend their entire school year, not just one season, dedicating themselves to athletics and to leading their peers on the field, court, and diamond. Harold Hall was a leader, himself, and one of the strongest supporters of the SSCS athletic program in school history. In 1981, SSCS was in a tough position financially and had to cut sports from the school budget. In response, a group of four dads decided to join together and start the SSCS Booster Club to raise money to keep sports alive at our school. Harold, who was one of those dads, made the first financial contribution to its treasury, taking $20 out of his pocket and leading fundraisers to keep sports at Sharon that year. Following Harold’s death in 2026, the Booster Club established this award in his name as a tribute to his spirit and legacy.
