PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

May is here: Let’s finish strong!

Welcome to the first day of May! It’s hard to believe, but we are officially in the homestretch of the school year. With warmer weather, longer days, and summer just around the corner, it’s natural for energy and attention to start drifting. At the same time, this stretch of the year is incredibly important; it’s a great opportunity for students to finish what they started with pride and purpose.

We encourage all students to stay grounded in the habits that support success:

  • Getting a good night’s sleep
  • Eating well and staying active
  • Keeping up with assignments and reviewing learning regularly

A little consistency each day goes a long way in helping students feel confident and prepared as we approach final projects, assessments, and end-of-year celebrations.

Families, your partnership is essential. Please continue to reach out to teachers with any questions or concerns, open communication helps us work together to support each student’s growth and success.

As always, safety remains a top priority. We will continue to conduct our required safety drills in a calm and supportive manner, reinforcing that preparedness helps keep everyone safe.

And finally, a simple but powerful reminder: be kind. This is a busy and sometimes stressful time of year, and small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s day.

Let’s make the most of May: focused, positive, and finishing strong together!

Principal Yorke
