PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Welcome Back, Spartans!

It has been a joy to welcome our students back into the building this week. Thanks to the dedication of our faculty and staff, along with the strong partnership of our students and families, we’ve had a positive and smooth start to the school year, even as we’ve introduced some updated policies and procedures. This year’s theme, One Team, All In, reminds us that success happens when we work together. I encourage our students to start the year strong by putting their best effort forward each day.

To our parents and guardians, your support makes all the difference. Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly to your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns; clear and open communication ensures that every student receives the support they need to thrive. Once again this year, we will conduct a series of fire and safety drills as required by the NYS Education Department. The purpose of these drills is to familiarize students in the building of what to do and where to go in the event of an emergency. The district plans to conduct several drills beginning next week. Together, as one team, we look forward to making this year a great one!

Mr. Yorke, School Principal/Superintendent of Schools

STUDENTS IN GRADES K-5

Your child(ren) should have come home with a Student Demographic form and an Early Emergency Dismissal Form last week. If you haven’t done so already, please update and complete both of those forms and return them to your child’s teacher no later than September 17th. The information from these forms is used to make sure the district has the most up-to-date information on file for your child in the event of an emergency. Thank you.

FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS

Did you know?? Breakfast and lunch are free to all SSCS students everyday. Save time and money in the morning packing food. Our cafeteria ladies are hard at work each day whipping up tasty and nutritious meals so parents and care providers don’t have to. Menu is posted on the school website also.
