PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

SSCS Families!

As we reach the mid-point of the first marking period, this is an ideal time to check in on your child’s academic progress. We encourage all parents and guardians of students in grades 6–12 to sit down with your child and have them log into Schoology to review their grades in each of their courses. This quick check-in can be a powerful way to start conversations about effort, organization, and next steps for success.

If you have any questions or concerns about specific courses or assignments, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly to your child’s teachers. You can message teachers through Schoology, find their email addresses on our district website at www.sharonsprings.org, or, of course, call (518) 284 2266.

As we take this moment to reflect, I also want to thank you for your continued partnership and support. The first five weeks of school have gone very well. Our cell phone policy has been followed with great consistency, and our students have demonstrated excellent behavior—both of which have allowed our educators to stay focused on what matters most: each student’s learning and success.

In the coming weeks, we will continue practicing our emergency drills to ensure that all students and staff are well-prepared and confident in our safety procedures.

Overall, it has been a great start to the school year, and I am proud of the positive momentum across our school community. Thank you for your ongoing support in making Sharon Springs Central School a place where students thrive: One Team, All In!

Mr. Yorke, School Principal/Superintendent of Schools

YEARBOOK! YEARBOOKS! YEARBOOKS!

The yearbook staff and advisors are trying to empty out our old inventory!  We will have yearbooks at the bonfire for sale by “donation”.  Whatever you are willing to give for a past yearbook is appreciated.  If you would like a particular year, please email both Mrs. Field and Mrs. Korona, and if we have it in stock, we will make sure it is there for you!  We will also put some in the concession stand the day of the Homecoming Games if you cannot make it to the Bonfire on Friday night. These make great gifts for alumni!
