PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

SSCS Families!

As we wrap up the sixth week of school, we hope that all of our students and families are having a positive and productive experience so far this fall. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child(ren)’s teacher(s); open communication is an important part of our “One Team, All In” approach.

For our grades 6–12 families, we encourage you to have your student log into Schoology and show you their current assignments and grades. This is a great way to stay connected to your child’s learning progress.

Looking ahead, since Halloween falls on the last Friday of October, we will be combining our Morning Program with the Traditional Halloween Parade on that day.

  • Friday, October 31, 2025:
    • Morning Program: 1:30 p.m. (in the auditorium)
    • Halloween Parade: 2:05 p.m. (immediately following Morning Program)

We look forward to celebrating this fun SSCS tradition together!

Mr. Yorke, School Principal/Superintendent of Schools

Since the beginning there have been no injuries.  We are part of the New York State High School Clay Target League, and part of the USA Clay Target League. The league promotes a safe and enjoyable environment for students to participate in the sport of trap, allowing them to develop skills that can last a lifetime. It is designed for students of all backgrounds and abilities, emphasizing safety and community involvement.  This sport is open to ages 12 to 18 who participate in either Public or Home School.

Our Senior Athletes have the opportunity to earn a college scholarship from the New York State & USA High School Clay Target Leagues. They also could be scouted by a post-secondary school.

Interested in finding out more about the team check us out on Facebook: SSCS Clay Target Team or on YouTube: www.youtube.com/@SSCSclaytarget or by stopping by our home base Sprout Brook at 1364 State Highway 163 Canajoharie.
