PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It’s hard to believe, but we’re already in mid-May—and with that comes the fast-paced sprint to the end of the school year. This week marks the beginning of a packed stretch of exciting events, celebrations, and important academic milestones.

We kick things off this Saturday night with the Junior Prom at SUNY Cobleskill. We encourage families to take a moment to talk with students about making safe, responsible choices – and of course, to have fun (and keep it drama-free!).

On Monday (5/19), our Girls Varsity Softball Team—in partnership with Cherry Valley-Springfield—will compete in the Tri-Valley League Championship at Sidney Central School at 4:30 PM. Let’s show up in full Spartan spirit and cheer them on!

Monday and Tuesday (5/19–5/20) also mark our Young Authors’ Fair, open to families in the auditorium atrium. On Tuesday evening (5/20 at 7:00 PM), we welcome our elementary families to enjoy the Elementary Spring Concert, showcasing the musical talents of our youngest learners. And don’t forget to cast your vote in the School Budget Vote on Tuesday as well—your voice matters!

Wednesday (5/21) will include a celebration of academic excellence with our Middle School Honor Society and High School Math Honor Society Induction Ceremonies.

Thursday (5/22) marks the final session of our After School Program, and there will be no school on Friday (5/23) as we observe one of our unused snow days.

Looking ahead, we’ll come together for our beloved Memorial Day BBQ and Parade on Monday (5/26) – a special tradition that brings our school and community together to remember and honor.

Amid all the excitement, we want to remind students and families to stay focused during these final weeks. Regents Exams and local finals are just around the corner, and it’s important that our students finish strong.

Let’s support one another, celebrate our students, and keep the energy high as we head into this final stretch!

Mr. Yorke
