PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Thank you for your patience this past week as we adjusted to the mercurial temperament of Mother Nature. Between delays, early dismissals, and canceled activities, our schedule certainly kept everyone on their toes. As always, we appreciate the flexibility of our families and staff as we work together to keep our students safe. While we hope the worst of the winter weather is behind us, please know that the health and safety of our SSCS family will always remain our top priority when making weather-related decisions.

Please also note that this Friday, March 6, 2026, marks the midway point of the third marking period. This is an excellent time for families to do a quick academic check-in with their child. I encourage you to ask your child to show you their grades on their iPad using Schoology, which provides the most up-to-date view of assignments and overall progress. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out directly to your child’s teacher(s). Our teachers greatly value strong communication with families and are always happy to support students in finishing the quarter strong.

Finally, a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, so don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night.

Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and for helping us maintain the supportive, family-like community that makes Sharon Springs such a special place for our students to learn and grow.

Have a great weekend.

Principal Yorke
