SSCS elementary school students were rewarded in June for answering nearly 500,000 ELA and Math questions this school year, doubling their goal. Students from each grade (K-5) had an opportunity to pour a topping on their Principal Thomas Yorke – turning him into a human “sundae.” There was vanilla ice cream, chocolate, strawberry and butterscotch syrups, whipped cream, two kinds of sprinkles (chocolate and rainbow) and the school staff lined up to place the cherries on top. At the end, they cleaned him off with a hose and water balloons.
