The Lorax Teaches a Lesson on Earth Day

on April 28, 2025

the Lorax and the Once-ler speak on stage

In celebration of Earth Day 2025, Samantha Holmes’ fifth graders performed The Lorax during April Morning Program. The Lorax, a children’s book written by Dr. Seuss, is a cautionary tale primarily about a person’s responsibilities to the environment. The mustachioed Lorax is the main character of the book, who “speaks for the trees” and confronts the Once-ler, a business magnate who causes environmental destruction running his company. “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lotnothing is going to get betterIt’s not,” the Lorax tells the Once-ler.
