2025-26 BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY INFORMATION
Once again, for the 2025 – 2026 school year, school supplies and materials will be provided by Sharon Springs CSD for all SSCS students. Through bulk purchasing and careful fiscal planning, our thoughtful Sharon Springs CSD Board of Education agreed that school supplies are part of the resources necessary to provide the conditions for each student to be successful! If you or a family you know has needs beyond school materials, please reach out to Michelle Keaney (518 284-2266 or mkeaney@sharonsprings.org); she will confidentially and discreetly put you in contact with our generous Sharing and Caring program.

Three SSCS students earn Honorable Mention distinction at the FFA District 2 Leadership Development Events held Feb. 8 at Schoharie High School.

Maya Korona competed in the Job Interview category, and Madison Lynk and Sophia Insogna in Junior Creed. The FFA Creed outlines the organization’s values and beliefs regarding the industry of agriculture, FFA membership, and citizenship and patriotism.

“The competition this year was tough,” said FFA Advisor Anne Allen, “with as many as 30 contestants competing in each event. Our students had many positive comments from the judges and performed well. Our members look forward to competing next year and in working on other events for the NYS FFA Convention this spring.”

The SSCS FFA would also like to thank Mr. Cornwell, Mr. Strk and Ms. Galasso for volunteering as judges on Saturday.

FFA Leadership Development Events feature competitions within the FFA organization where students in District 2 participate in various leadership-focused activities like public speaking, parliamentary procedure, or discussion meets. This allows FFA members to showcase their leadership skills and compete against other chapters in their district.
