2025-26 BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY INFORMATION
Once again, for the 2025 – 2026 school year, school supplies and materials will be provided by Sharon Springs CSD for all SSCS students. Through bulk purchasing and careful fiscal planning, our thoughtful Sharon Springs CSD Board of Education agreed that school supplies are part of the resources necessary to provide the conditions for each student to be successful! If you or a family you know has needs beyond school materials, please reach out to Michelle Keaney (518 284-2266 or mkeaney@sharonsprings.org); she will confidentially and discreetly put you in contact with our generous Sharing and Caring program.

SSCS Juniors Participate in Albany Youth Leadership and Legislative Day

on February 5, 2025

group of high school students meet with their state representatives

Three SSCS juniors, Peyton Barbic, Yasmin Issa and Hailey Cashman had an opportunity to attend the Youth Leadership Forum and Legislative Day in Albany on Feb. 3.

Each February, the Association of New York State Youth Bureaus sponsors this Youth Leadership event where youth convene at the Empire State Plaza and State Capitol to participate in keynote and workshop sessions and meet with their elected state representatives like Assemblyman Chris Tague from Schoharie County.

This opportunity was made possible through Barbic, Issa and Cashman’s membership in the Youth As Leaders (YAL) initiative.

YAL is a program represented by high school students in Schoharie County that helps young people develop leadership skills and participate in community activities. The program is run by the Schoharie County Youth Bureau.
