SSCS hosted the Schoharie County Music Educators Association Spring All-County Festival April 25-26. The event brought together 54 chorus students in grades 9-12 and 86 elementary band students in grades 5-6 from 6 area schools – Sharon Springs, Cobleskill-Richmondville, Schoharie, Middleburgh, Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Duanesburg.
Exceptional student musicians – 11 from SSCS – were chosen to participate based on recommendations by their music teachers. The students rehearsed with guest conductors Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, culminating in a final performance with 454 audience members in attendance.
