2026 All County Band and Chorus members

Member of the SSCS high school and middle school bands, and the elementary school chorus joined their peers from five other area school districts performing on Feb. 6 at the All County Winter Music Festival.

This annual event is sponsored by the Schoharie County Music Educators’ Association (SCMEA) and was hosted by the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District. Exceptional student musicians were chosen to participate based on recommendations by their music teachers.

These selected students, some 250 in all, rehearsed with guest conductors Friday afternoon and performed a series of public concerts Friday evening. Other participating school districts included Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Cobleskill-Richmondville, Duanesburg, Middleburgh and Schoharie.

SSCS members of the select high school band (grades 9-12) were Ava Jump, Maya Korona, Audrey Thurley, Kalyee Crewell, and Tyler Lyon. SSCS members of the select junior high band (grades 7-8) were Barrett Lynk, Lucas Willoughby, Joseph Pizza, and Elizabeth Gokool. Members of the select elementary school chorus (grades 5-6) were Bailey Puding, Sasha Jones, Thomas Killenberger, Sammi Crewell, Mila Issa, Eimyrja Smith, Myles Lynk, Alexa Raggi, Colton Starr, Emma Dyer, Madailein Saunders, Landon Thurley, and August Harper. Not pictured are two students who were selected to go and prepared the music, but were not able to perform: Peyton Horning (5-6 Chorus) and Jack Richardson (7-8 Band).

SCMEA meets on a regular basis to plan two festivals which offer expanded music opportunities for music students. The group also sponsors scholarships for graduating seniors who will be studying music in college next year.
