2025-26 BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY INFORMATION
Once again, for the 2025 – 2026 school year, school supplies and materials will be provided by Sharon Springs CSD for all SSCS students. Through bulk purchasing and careful fiscal planning, our thoughtful Sharon Springs CSD Board of Education agreed that school supplies are part of the resources necessary to provide the conditions for each student to be successful! If you or a family you know has needs beyond school materials, please reach out to Michelle Keaney (518 284-2266 or mkeaney@sharonsprings.org); she will confidentially and discreetly put you in contact with our generous Sharing and Caring program.

Second Graders Visit the Stone House Farm

on March 5, 2025

second graders meet the cows in the barn

On February 28, second graders in Mrs. Baker’s class took an educational trip to the Stone House Farm in Sharon Springs, which has been run by the Everett family since 1964. Tim and Patti Everett took over the farm in 1986, and have been farming there ever since. The children toured the barns and visited with some of the 60 Jersey cows and calves that call the Stone House Farm home. They were fascinated with the robotic milking machine. They also learned how maple syrup is made at the farm’s 5,000-tap maple syrup operation and enjoyed a delicious brunch of pancakes, sausage and, of course, maple syrup at the sap house restaurant there. A very special thank you from our class to Amy Cornwell and the Everett family for inviting us!
