Kindergarten Presents The Pigeon Learns to be Thankful

on November 21, 2025

Kindergarten actors perform on stage

At SSCS we are grateful for teacher Anne Laier’s cast of Kindergarten Characters who got us all into the Thanksgiving spirit during November Morning Program with their production of  “The Pigeon Learns to be Thankful” featuring characters by children’s author Mo Willems.

While Pigeon had his mind set on his love of hot dogs, candy and cookies, he soon learns that the true meaning of the holiday is being thankful for his friends like Piggie, Gerard the Elephant, Duckling, Trixie and Bus Driver. “Oh, I get it now,” Pigeon realizes. “Being thankful feels good! I’m thankful for ALL of you!”

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!
