Eliza Cechnicki
SSCS welcomes Eliza Cechnicki to our Sharon Springs school community. She joined our faculty as a Special Education teacher in October after completing her commitment to her former school district, and she has already begun making a positive impression with her calm professionalism, creativity, and genuine care for students.
Cechnicki has a strong background supporting students through individualized instruction, small-group resource room teaching, and classroom collaboration. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta (Summa Cum Laude) and is currently completing her master’s degree in Special Education at SUNY Binghamton.
Before joining SSCS, Cechnicki served as a Special Education and Academic Intervention Teacher at Unatego Central School District, where she helped students strengthen their ELA and math skills and supported classroom teachers in creating inclusive, engaging environments. Beyond the classroom, she’s been a camp co-director, peer tutor, and direct support professional; roles that reflect her lifelong passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
