Congratulations to the SSCS boys athletic teams (fall, winter and spring) for being awarded the Pat Grasso Sportsmanship Banner for the 2024-2025 school year by the Tri-Valley League.
The Tri-Valley League places an emphasis on sportsmanship throughout each of the three sports seasons. At the end of each season, the coaches assign points to each team indicating their level of sportsmanship and this is tallied to see which team has the best sportsmanship. At the end of the year, these votes are added together from each season to determine the team that has the best sportsmanship.
We are very proud that our SSCS teams are demonstrating qualities of sportsmanship on a regular basis. It is our belief that sportsmanship that is modeled, practiced, reinforced, and rewarded in athletics, builds athletes who ultimately win in life. These three teams deserve a huge congratulations for indicating that they can compete with honor, respect their teammates and opponents, and do not sacrifice integrity for victory.
