SSCS elementary kids learned firsthand about the lifecycle of chickens this month from the egg development and hatching process to holding a baby chick in their own little hands. The lesson started two weeks ago when students visited teacher Dan Cornwell’s class to view fertilized eggs growing in an incubator in the high school wing. Days went by after that and not a peep from the classroom. Then last week, the eggs finally hatched and the fun began. Thank you Mr. Cornwell for an “egg-citing” experiment!
