2025-26 BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY INFORMATION
Once again, for the 2025 – 2026 school year, school supplies and materials will be provided by Sharon Springs CSD for all SSCS students. Through bulk purchasing and careful fiscal planning, our thoughtful Sharon Springs CSD Board of Education agreed that school supplies are part of the resources necessary to provide the conditions for each student to be successful! If you or a family you know has needs beyond school materials, please reach out to Michelle Keaney (518 284-2266 or mkeaney@sharonsprings.org); she will confidentially and discreetly put you in contact with our generous Sharing and Caring program.

Anne Allen

Congratulations to longtime SSCS Science teacher and FFA chapter Advisor Anne Allen who will be recognized this fall with an Honorary American FFA Degree.

Each year, the National FFA Organization recognizes individuals who have provided exceptional support of school-based agricultural education and FFA. This is the highest degree bestowed upon an individual by the National FFA Organization. It stands in recognition of Allen’s contributions to agriculture, agricultural education and FFA at the national level. This is Allen’s 30th year as a teacher at SSCS.

The National FFA Organization works to enhance the lives of youth through agricultural education. Without the efforts of highly dedicated individuals, thousands of young people would not be able to achieve the success that, in turn, contributes directly to the overall well-being of the nation.

Allen will receive the award during the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis on Oct. 31. All recipients will receive a plaque and medal, and their names will be permanently recorded as recipients of the highest FFA honor.
