The National Honor Society

The National Honor Society had a great day in Lake George which included a luncheon cruise on board the Lac du Saint Sacrement.  We learned about the Lake and its history.  The Lake George Steamboat Company, operating since 1817, is the oldest continually operating steamboat company in America.  Lake George was formed during the last ice age and flows north into Canada via Lake Champlain and Richlieu River.  The waters eventually enter into the Atlantic through the St. Lawrence River.  The lake is 32 miles long and has a surface area of 44 square miles.
