IMPACT Field Trip

on October 18, 2019

On Friday, October 11th, five students participated in an event held at Sienna College designed to provide students an opportunity to explore the field of computer science. There were approximately 100 students from approximately twelve local schools. Students were provided with mini lessons on a variety of computer science applications and then given two activity periods to create a Pac-Man game, code unique music sequences, use problem solving skills to build the tallest pasta structure topped with a marshmallow, and solving computer coding puzzles. The event culminated in a question and answer session with current Sienna College students taking computer science courses. The five SSCS students were fully engaged in the event and indicated they would participate again!!!
