College News:

Applications are typically due in early November for early admission and December thru February for regular admission..  Students need to watch carefully to make sure they meet all deadlines.

If students need letters of recommendation from the Guidance Office and or Teachers you need to ask at least 2 weeks before the letters are due. Also, make sure that you provide the Teachers with pre-addressed envelopes with the names of the colleges on them. See Mrs. Stetin if you have questions.

Start filling out Scholarship applications if you have not already begun. Many scholarships go unused because students do not apply. Use the list of Scholarships and web addresses Mrs. Stetin gave you in September for resources. If you have lost your lists, see Mrs. Stetin for another copy.

Financial Aid  information will be available in mid November. A Financial Aid Night will be offered to Seniors and their parents/guardians in early December . Information about this will be mailed home in november.

If you need assistance filling out your FAFSA form,  you may contact the Financial Aid office at SUNY Cobleskill and ask for Dick Young. He makes himself available to families in Schoharie County who need help completing the FAFSA. You do not have to be attending SUNY Cobleskill to receive his help. He can be reached at 255-5623.
